Job summary
Dematic in the UK is seeking a dedicated Software Support Specialist to provide 2nd line support for customers and collaborate with global teams. You will document cases, implement solutions, and contribute to software projects across WCS, MFC and OFS systems.
Applicants should have strong communication, Java development experience, and familiarity with Oracle databases, plus a willingness to share 24/7 on-call duties and travel as required.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with patience and problem-solving focus.
- Experience with software architectures and Java development.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management/Execution systems.
- Background in a 2nd line IT or software support role.
- Proficient with databases, especially Oracle.
- Willingness to share 24/7 on-call duties and travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Delivering 2nd line support services for both new and long-term existing customers.
- Carrying out software support including documentation of incoming service cases describing solutions.
- Collaborate with functional departments on software projects and provide insightful feedback.
- Support international project commissioning and after-go-live support.
- Service support for existing customers.
- Provide software development for WCS, MFC and OFS systems (PTL, PbV).
- Handle change request processing for existing customers.
