Job summary
Solus Accident Repair Centres is seeking a talented and proactive 2nd Line IT Engineer for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Bishop's Stortford. You will own complex incidents and service requests escalated from 1st line, supporting colleagues and external clients while helping to deliver a large-scale systems integration project.
You’ll join a collaborative IT team, provide advanced troubleshooting across hardware, software and networking, and mentor 1st Line Engineers.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT across multiple sites.
- Ability to contribute to large-scale integration projects.
- Proactive problem-solving and strong technical aptitude.
- Willingness to participate in on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex incidents and service requests escalated from 1st line.
- Support colleagues and external clients using HaloITSM.
- Guide and develop 1st Line IT Engineers.
- Assist with hardware setup and account management.
- Install, configure and support IT systems.
- Provide on-call support on a shift rota 24/7.
- Create and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate within the Solus Service Desk team.
