  • Lead and manage the Digital Technology Development Programme with governance, controls and assurance.
  • Programme manage complex technical and business workstreams, including new system implementations and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Manage and report on programme budgets, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.
  • Provide specialist digital and programme management advice to the IT Delivery Manager and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary programme team, including Project Managers and Project Officers.
  • Represent NHS Dumfries & Galloway at regional and national digital forums and contribute to national digital initiatives.
  • Oversee change management activities to support effective adoption of digital systems across clinical and corporate services.
  • Ensure continuity of user support, training and facilitation for implemented digital systems.
  • Collaborate with clinical, corporate and national stakeholders to deliver safe, effective and sustainable digital services.

The postholder will provide strategic leadership across digital programmes and projects, oversee benefits realisation, manage significant budgets and resources, and work closely with clinical, corporate, and national stakeholders to deliver safe, effective, and sustainable digital services.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will be an experienced programme leader with highly developed specialist knowledge of programme and project management within a complex and regulated environment. You will have a strong understanding of digital systems within healthcare and a proven track record of delivering largescale change programmes that realise measurable benefits.

You will be confident operating at senior management level, able to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders, and capable of managing competing priorities within a highpressure environment.
