Job summary

Barclays Bank plc is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst based in Gloucester to monitor and maintain critical technology infrastructure and resolve complex issues with minimal disruption to operations.

You will deliver technical support for the service management function, execute preventative maintenance, analyze system logs, and contribute to automation and resilience programs to strengthen controls and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT infrastructure support roles.
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows (Wintel) platforms.
• Experience in 24x7 shift operations and data centre environments.
• Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Server+ or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for service management to resolve complex issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hardware/software and use monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a knowledge base with resolved cases for reference and self-service.
• Analyze logs, errors and reports to identify root causes and implement fixes or changes.
• Contribute to automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management and resiliency initiatives.
