Job summary

Together UK in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our 24-hour mental wellbeing accommodation-based service for adults 18-65 with mental health needs. You will provide person-led support in a safe environment and promote independence and recovery.

The role is full-time and permanent, with shifts across a 24/7 rota. Candidates should have experience with vulnerable adults, GCSE English, and be willing to work with partners across services to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience supporting vulnerable adults (paid/voluntary/life experience).
GCSE or Level II English qualification or equivalent.
Basic competence in email and word processing.
Demonstrate a non-judgemental attitude and empathy towards service users.
Able to work in partnership with services users and maintain professional boundaries.
Able to maintain a safe environment.
Willing to undertake domestic tasks with service users as needed.
Demonstrate problem-solving relating to welfare benefits, education and relationships.
Open to learning and job-related training.
Willing to collaborate with colleagues and organisations.
Able to use email and computerized records systems.
Able to travel and have access to car/public transport.
Able to work a varying 24/7 rota with notice.

Responsibilities

Support individuals to maintain good mental health and maximise recovery outcomes.
Assist to prevent tenancy breakdown and support integration into the community.
Partnership work with mental health professionals and services.
Ensure a safe environment for all service users.
Promote independence and living as independently as possible.
