Job summary

Dwelling Places Homes is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead shifts and provide high-quality, person-centred support in our 24/7 staffed homes in South East London. You will guide a team of Support Workers, manage daily records and work with social workers to support young people in developing independence and life skills.

The role requires safeguarding expertise, strong communication and the ability to work flexible day/night shifts within a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Experience supporting young people to develop independent living skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Experience maintaining professional records and documentation.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other members of staff.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people living in supported accommodation.
• Lead shifts and provide guidance to Support Workers.
• Ensure staff maintain professional boundaries and follow policies.
• Complete and monitor daily logs, handovers and progress reports.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and liaise with managers and social workers.
