North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a capable Call Handler to manage inbound calls, coordinating patient transport and providing information on care pathways. The role requires clear communication and the ability to multitask across a range of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Working within a 24/7 operational team, you will support clinical staff and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to NHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education with English GCSE required.
• Previous Call Centre experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from operational crews and direct to appropriate services.
• Arrange transport for patients using contracted taxi companies.
• Provide information on pathways to deliver appropriate care and avoid hospital admissions.
