Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an Administrator to join the Assistive Technology Team in Barnsley. The role supports high-quality services by handling enquiries, data entry and coordinating equipment installation and orders.
It is a 22.5 hours per week vacancy with the Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% of the band) until the apprenticeship is completed. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised and able to prioritise a busy workload.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.

Barnsley Assistive Technology provides specialist support for people who have difficulty communicating or controlling equipment around them. This includes communication aids that help people express themselves, and technology that enables people to control things such as their phone, television or other equipment more independently. The service covers Yorkshire and the Humber, and has strong research links with the University of Sheffield., We are looking for an experienced Administrator to support our busy team. As the first point of contact for many of our clients, including people with communication difficulties, and their relatives, you will handle enquiries professionally and sensitively.
You will be self-motivated, organised and able to prioritise a busy workload. Flexibility and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams are essential. Experience of administrative support, assistive technology and working with disabled people is advantageous.
