Opportunities have arisen to join our team in C5 as a Healthcare Support Worker on a permanent basis for either 23 or 30 hours per week.

About Ward C5

Ward C5 is a fast-paced, 28-bedded general medical ward specializing in haematology, infectious diseases, and gastroenterology. We are a friendly team committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective, person-centered care.

Role Responsibilities

1. Implement and evaluate nursing care: Assist in delivering nursing care prescribed by registered nurses and document this care.
2. Support nutritional needs: Assist in delivering meals and support patients with their nutritional needs.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team: Work closely with all team members.
4. Support families and carers: Work alongside and support families and carers.
5. Maintain safety and cleanliness: Help maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s infection control policies.
6. Perform clinical skills as required: Carry out various clinical skills as needed.

Additional Details

This position involves shift work, including 7.5 or 11.5-hour day shifts, 11.5-hour night shifts, and weekend work.
