Job description

Opportunities have arisen to join our team in C5 as a Healthcare Support Worker on a permanent basis for either 23 or 30 hours per week.

Ward C5 is a fast paced 28 bedded general medical ward specialising in haematology, infectious diseases, and gastroenterology. We are a fantastic, friendly team committed to delivering high quality, safe, and effective, person-centred care.

As an Unregistered Nurse, you will:
  1. Implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients as prescribed by the registered nurse, and document this care.
  2. Assist in the delivery of meals and support patients with their nutritional needs.
  3. Work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
  4. Work alongside and support families and carers.
  5. Help to maintain a safe and clean environment within NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s infection control policies.
  6. Carry out various clinical skills as required.

This post involves shift working, which could include 7.5-hour or 11.5-hour dayshifts and 11.5-hour nightshifts, including weekends.
