Job description

An opportunity has arisen to join our team in C5 as a Healthcare Support Worker on a permanent basis.

Ward C5 is a fast-paced, 28-bedded general medical ward specializing in haematology, infectious diseases, and gastroenterology.

We are a friendly team committed to delivering high-quality, safe, effective, and person-centered care.

As an Unregistered Nurse, you will:
  1. Implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients as prescribed by the registered nurse, and document this care.
  2. Assist in delivering meals and supporting patients with their nutritional needs.
  3. Work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
  4. Support families and carers.
  5. Help maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s infection control policies.
  6. Carry out various clinical skills as required.

This role involves shift work, including 7.5-hour or 11.5-hour day shifts, 11.5-hour night shifts, and weekend work.
