Job summary
Acuity Care Group is recruiting a Bank Support Worker to provide 2:1 support to a young woman in her own home in Totton, near Southampton. She has autism and complex mental health needs and requires round-the-clock support, with care tailored to her preferences and goals.
You will bring energy, compassion and reliability to enable her to live life her way, join activities, and maintain dignity, choice, and independence through person-centred support, calm communication, and flexible shift
Qualifications
- Experience in supporting individuals with autism, complex mental health needs and/or behaviours that may challenge.
- Confident providing person-centred support and encouraging choice, independence and positive outcomes.
- Calm and resilient, able to respond to changing or challenging situations.
- Strong communication to build trusting relationships.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a 2:1 support team.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2:1 support to a young woman in her own home in Totton/Southampton area.
- Assist with activities such as shopping, outings, baking and singing.
- Promote independence, dignity and choice through person-centred care.
- Respond calmly to changing or challenging situations.
