Job summary

SeeAbility in Redhill is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help a young woman with complex health needs, including autism and learning disabilities, live independently.

You’ll provide daily living support, assist with communication (Makaton & PECS), mobility and emotional wellbeing, and accompany day services and community outings; a 2:1 support ratio is typical.

This is a physical, hands-on role offering stability, training and a values-led team that values patience, consistency and care.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills (spoken & written).
• Previous experience in a care/support setting.
• The ability to work long shifts (12 hours+).
• A valid manual UK driving licence.
• The legal right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines from morning to bedtime.
• Plan and enjoy person-centred activities — walks, swimming, shopping and trips out.
• Build trusted, respectful relationships that support confidence and wellbeing.
• Keep clear and accurate records.
• Work closely with colleagues and professionals.
