Job summary

East Surrey College / John Ruskin College is seeking an IT 1st Line Support Technician to join the IT Services team. You will provide first-line technical support to staff and students across College campuses, troubleshoot hardware and software, and support a modern Microsoft 365 environment.

The role is full-time (37 hours/week) with a salary of £28,337 per annum. Interviews are expected week commencing 5 October. We offer pension choices, holiday allowance, free onsite parking and gym access.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a 1st Line IT Support role.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (O365) admin, Intune/Endpoint Manager and Windows 11.
• Understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, tickets and face-to-face.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and deploy devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Assist with account management and user access requests.
• Maintain documentation and support onboarding/offboarding activities.
• Monitor IT systems and seek service improvements with colleagues.
