Job summary

Grconsulting is seeking a 1st Line IT Support Engineer in Hertfordshire to join a close‑knit team and develop your IT career. You will provide frontline support for internal users, triage tickets, and work with Microsoft 365 tools in a dynamic client environment.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in IT support or a service desk background.
• A genuine interest in technology and a proactive approach to learning.
• Excellent communication and a customer‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day 1st line support to internal users.
• Log, manage and resolve tickets through the Service Desk.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktop environments.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
• Manage users, permissions and access via Active Directory.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on escalations and more complex issues.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
