  • Mark materials with job numbers, piece marks, and identify completed welds with welder numbers.

  • Perform single-pass 5/16-inch minimum fillet welds in all positions using FCAW on carbon steel and similar-sized fillet welds on other materials.

  • Supervise setup and perform welding according to WPS, maintaining equipment like wire feeders, tractors, and power sources.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, recommend WPS updates, and oversee production documentation and testing.

  • Lead by example, train less experienced welders, enforce quality and safety standards, and identify process improvements.

  • Inspect welds and preparations for NDT, observing QA/NDT hold points as applicable.

  • Calculate dimensions, devise bracing, and sequence welds to maintain tolerances and minimize distortions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Frequent exposure to machinery noise.

  • Operate trucks, forklifts, and man-lifts as required.

  • Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, and perform other physical tasks regularly.
