Job summary

RSM UK offers a 12-month paid placement in external audit for placement students. You will work alongside current trainees and experienced audit professionals, gaining real client experience and on-the-job training throughout the year.

As a member of the audit team, you’ll conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls, helping ensure accurate financial statements and stakeholder trust. Start date: 14 September 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum UCAS points requirements apply (112 across three A levels or equivalent).
• Be enrolled on a placement degree.
• Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Work with audit teams and current trainees on client engagements.
• Gain practical experience, on-the-job training and access internal courses.
