The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Deputy Head of Department.
As Deputy Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our learners through:
• Supporting the Head of Department in all aspects of leadership and management, particularly around attendance, quality, teaching, learning and assessment, and securing outstanding outcomes for all learners.
• Performance managing staff within the department and ensuring their professional development.
• Leading curriculum development, including developing and validating new programmes and reviewing existing programmes.
• Ensuring learner retention, achievement, success, and progression rates within the department exceed the national average year-on-year.
Our ideal candidate will have a track record of high performance in previous roles and relevant sector experience to underpin subject leadership with credibility and authority.
