Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting and placing 1‑2‑1 tutors in the Tameside area to support pupils not currently accessing a school setting. The role focuses on delivering tailored 1–2–1 tuition and helping pupils re-engage with education.

The tutor will support SEMH/SEND needs, plan sessions in Maths and English (KS1–KS4), and adapt content to learners below age-related expectations. Flexible availability and daily session records are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, or significant recent tuition experience with references
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or SEND needs
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning sessions
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised 1–2–1 tuition to pupils
• Support pupils with SEMH and SEND needs
• Plan and deliver sessions in maths and English (KS1–KS4), functional skills where appropriate

We are currently recruiting1–2–1 Tutorsto support pupils in the Tameside area who are not currently accessing a school setting. This is an opportunity to play a key role in helping young people re-engage with education through tailored, individual support.

About the Role

• Deliverindividualised 1–2–1 tuitionto pupils
• Support children withSocial, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, andSpecial Educational Needs (SEND)
• Plan and deliver sessions in:
  • Maths and English (KS1–KS4)
  • Functional Skills (where appropriate)
• Adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils workingbelow age-related expectations
• Monitor engagement and progress through structured support

Working Pattern

• Tuition takes place during theschool day
• Typical assignments involve2 hours per day, Monday to Friday
• Opportunity to take on multiple pupils depending on your availability
• Completion ofdaily session recordsandhalf-termly progress reportsrequired
• Due to the nature of the work, this role is best suited to individuals withflexible availability
