Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a Lancaster, Lancashire primary school from November 2026. The role focuses on providing 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with SEND and SEMH needs, with potential longer-term opportunities for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and support team to help the pupil access learning, regulate emotions and engage positively throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience providing targeted 1:1 support in a primary setting.
• Ability to support a Year 6 pupil with SEND and SEMH needs.

Responsabilités

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Assist pupil to access learning and achieve individual targets.
• Build positive relationships to encourage engagement, confidence and independence.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and promote emotional regulation.
• Support pupil during transitions and less structured times of the day.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and parents for consistency of support.
• Monitor pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Create a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment.
