Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Nottingham is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to provide tailored educational support in the NG2 area during weekday school hours. You will work with learners to build confidence and re-engage with learning.

The role offers flexible part-time hours, competitive pay of £25 - £30 per hour, ongoing consultant support, and the opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's education; DBS clearance and UK right to work are required.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support students in core subjects, including English, Maths, and other curriculum areas where required.
• Plan and adapt lessons to suit different abilities and learning styles.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with students, families, and relevant professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
• Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant teaching/tutoring qualification.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education.
• Knowledge of intervention strategies and personalised learning approaches.
