Job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield (Primary Phase) is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in accessing high-quality learning within a nurturing primary setting.

This fixed-term role is 37 hours per week, term-time only, providing support for small groups and individuals, and closely collaborating with teachers and leaders to promote engagement and progress. The successful candidate will contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing, and the academy's values.

• Work with small groups and individual pupils to promote engagement, progress, and confidence in learning.
• Assist in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of pupils.
• Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to adapt learning experiences and provide effective support where required.
• Promote pupils' health, welfare, and personal development, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and valued during the school day.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and support the academy's vision, values and culture.
