Job summary

All Saints Academy Darfield is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a fixed-term role. The post is 25.5 hours per week across four days (Tuesday to Friday), during term time plus two INSET days, commencing 3 November 2026.

The role involves 1-1 support, small group work, and general classroom assistance to help pupils achieve excellent outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience across at least two key stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2) and be committed to the school’s ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with special educational needs and challenging behaviour.
• Experience of working in a school setting.
• Two relevant key stages: EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• GCSE English and Maths at minimum level.

Responsibilities

• Support children 1-1 and in small groups within the classroom.
• Assist teaching staff to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Work in partnership with children, parents, carers and staff.
• Support pupils with special educational needs and challenging behaviour.
