Job summary

Holy Rosary and St Anne's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy in Leeds, is seeking a dedicated role to support children with additional health needs. The successful candidate will work closely with parents, carers, school staff and health professionals to ensure safe, responsive care.

You will follow individual healthcare plans, promote participation in school life, and contribute to safeguarding and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Ability to remain calm, vigilant and responsive, including in emergencies.
• Warm, child-centred approach and commitment to helping each child participate fully in school life.
• Willingness and ability to undertake specialist competency-based training and follow the child’s healthcare plan precisely.
• Excellent communication with parents/carers, school staff and health professionals.
• Discretion, reliability, initiative and a clear understanding of confidentiality.
• Ability to support learning, communication, personal care and growing independence without creating unnecessary dependence.
• Firm commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and school policies.
• Experience of supporting children with SEND, complex medical needs or a tracheostomy; full role-specific training will be provided.
