Job summary

Milk Education in Leeds is recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils across a range of schools, including those with ASD and additional learning needs. You will provide consistent, personalised support to help children access learning and feel confident, included and successful in the classroom.

A patient, calm and resilient approach, strong communication and teamwork with teachers and SENCOs is essential.

Qualifications

• Patient, empathetic and able to support children with ASD and additional learning needs.
• Calm and resilient in challenging situations.
• Strong communication and ability to work as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a child with ASD and behavioural needs.
• Support pupils to access learning and participate in classroom activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Help develop communication, independence and social development.
• Support during lessons, breaks and school activities as required.
