Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd, in partnership with Purfleet Primary Academy, is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with learning, development and wellbeing. You will provide tailored one-to-one support and work closely with the class teacher to ensure the pupil feels safe and included.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and development.
• Help the pupil access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
• Build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
• Support the pupil both academically and socially.
• Assist with classroom activities and provide support to the wider class when required.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Monitor the pupil's progress and communicate any concerns to the appropriate staff.
