1:1 Teaching Assistant – Supporting a Vulnerable Student
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision, supporting a highly vulnerable student with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This long-term, full-time role requires an individual who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to making a meaningful difference in a young person’s education and wellbeing.

About the School
This alternative provision supports students who have struggled in mainstream settings, providing a nurturing and structured environment tailored to their needs. The school features classrooms dedicated to vocational subjects, including a large workshop and salon, as well as general teaching spaces for Maths and English, all equipped with whiteboards.
Students benefit from freshly prepared meals delivered by a mobile food van each lunchtime. The school takes pride in its strong student outcomes, with 98% of learners achieving qualifications and 80% progressing onto Further Education last year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
