Job summary

Remedy Education are currently seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Newham. The role is 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including behavioural needs.

The position is long-term and full-time, with a daily rate of £100-£115. You will work 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday, helping students stay engaged, regulate emotions, and make progress in a calm, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour (school setting preferred).
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
  • Full CV covering the last 10 years (with gaps explained).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planning.

Salary: £100-£115 per day

Remedy Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Newham who are looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive setting.

About the Role

You will be providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including behavioural needs. This role is key in helping students stay engaged, regulate emotions, and make consistent progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planning
