Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in East London to support pupils with special educational needs. The role involves 1:1 or small group support, assisting teachers, and helping implement IEPs to aid academic, social, and emotional development.

Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience


About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


Key Responsibilities


Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups


Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons


Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies


Promote a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment


Support pupils with personal care where required


Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs


Requirements
