Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment, in partnership with Endeavour Multi Academy Trust, seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to provide 1:1 support for a pupil returning to school from the Autumn Term. This full-time, classroom-based role requires a compassionate approach, ability to work with highly complex needs, and collaboration with the class teacher and multidisciplinary team.

Training will be provided, including medical care procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
• Enhanced DBS check (Update Service) preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider classroom team.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with highly complex needs.
• Work in a secondary environment.
• Deliver engaging, tailored activities to support the pupil's learning and development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team.
• Support the pupil's emotional, educational and physical wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Deliver medical care following specialist training.
