Job summary

Smile Education, in partnership with the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child returning to school on a part-time basis from the Autumn Term.

The role is based in Wolverhampton with transport links to Dudley and surrounding areas, offering a long-term, stable position until July 2027 for the right candidate. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored activities and monitor the pupil's wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
• TA or childcare qualification Level 2/3 desirable.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) in line with safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with highly complex needs.
• Deliver engaging, tailored activities to support learning and development.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team.
• Support the pupil's emotional, educational and physical wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Deliver any required medical care following specialist training.
