Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Children’s Support Worker to join a school in Oxford. The role involves 1:1 support for students with severe and complex learning needs and autism, with a strong emphasis on emotional regulation and safety. You will work as part of a classroom team in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, ideally in SEND settings
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal
• Resilient, patient and able to stay calm in challenging situations
• Personal care is required

• Provide 1:1 support to students with severe and complex learning needs and autism
• Work within a classroom team to provide regulation and emotional support for most of the day
• Engage in activities outdoors or in the community as needed
