Job summary

AP Education is recruiting a SEND Tutor to provide face-to-face 1:1 support for learners from Early Years to KS4 in Leominster, Herefordshire. You will deliver core subjects or SEND-specific sessions and implement positive behaviour strategies to meet each learner’s needs.

Applicants with QTS/QTLS are preferred, but UK experience of 2+ years without qualifications is welcomed. Term-time only, up to 30 hours per week, with guaranteed weekly pay and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND/SEMH learners.
• Ability to manage behaviour using positive strategies.
• Adopt a therapeutic, flexible teaching approach.
• Conduct baseline academic and emotional assessments.
• Record daily/weekly progress and liaise with other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 support for learners from Early Years to KS4.
• Deliver core subjects or SEND-specific sessions.
• Support transitions to mainstream or specialist settings as needed.
• Maintain attendance reporting via attendance software.
