Job summary

Quantum Scholars are seeking confident, patient and passionate SEND Tutors to support learners accessing EOTAS and Alternative Provision across Hereford and surrounding areas. This is a 1:1 tutoring role designed for those who understand building trust, fostering confidence and helping learners re-engage with education.

You will tutor English, Maths and Science as needed, with availability during term-time school hours and readiness to travel to learners across Hereford region.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with young people with SEND/SEMH is essential.
• Experience providing 1:1 tuition or learning support is desirable.
• Confident delivering tuition across English, Maths and Science.
• Patient, calm and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition to learners accessing EOTAS/AP.
• Support learners across English, Maths and Science per need.
• Work with learners with SEND/SEMH needs including autism, ADHD, anxiety, school refusal.
• Build positive relationships and create a calm, engaging learning environment.
• Adapt lessons to individual needs and interests.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback on engagement and development.
• Collaborate with Quantum Scholars and other professionals to ensure support.
