Job summary

Quantum Scholars Herefordshire is seeking a supportive English & Maths Tutor to work with children and young people in person. You will deliver engaging, accessible lessons, build positive relationships, and tailor teaching to individuals' abilities, needs and educational goals.

Experience with SEND/SEMH is beneficial. You will work one-to-one or in small groups, monitor progress, provide feedback, collaborate with parents and professionals, and uphold safeguarding and DBS requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths to children or young people.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning activities.
• Safeguarding and ensuring welfare of learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one or small-group tuition in English and Maths.
• Support students with reading, writing, comprehension, spelling and grammar and numeracy.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs and engagement levels.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback; build positive relationships with students and carers.
• Collaborate with parents and relevant professionals and maintain clear communication.
