Job summary

Quantum Scholars seeks a patient, experienced 1:1 SEND Maths Tutor to provide personalised maths tuition in Hereford, in-person. You will adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs, building a positive relationship to support academic progress, confidence and engagement with Maths.

The role focuses on delivering tailored lessons for a secondary-aged learner with SEND, monitoring progress and collaborating with the wider support team, while maintaining professional boundaries and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Strong maths knowledge and ability to support secondary-aged learners.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience delivering one-to-one tuition or personalised educational support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one-to-one Maths tuition.
• Support a secondary-aged learner with SEND.
• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons.
• Adapt teaching methods, resources and pace to learner needs.
• Identify gaps and provide targeted support.
• Help learner develop confidence and positive attitude towards Maths.
• Support revision, assessments and GCSE preparation where appropriate.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to parents/carers.
