Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a verbal, low-level ASD child in a Year 3 class at a two-form-entry primary school in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor support, help the child participate in classroom activities, and promote confidence and independence in an inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly verbal, low-level children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity and equality in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a verbal, low-level child in a Year 3 class.
• Assist the child with understanding and completing classroom tasks and activities.

The Role
