Zusammenfassung

The Downs Malvern is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Lower KS3 pupil with an EHCP and a DLD diagnosis. You will help this pupil build confidence, wellbeing and communication skills, and make progress in their education within a supportive school.

You will work closely with the SENDCo, Deputy Head Academic, subject teachers, parents and external professionals to provide the right educational and pastoral support.

Qualifikationen

• Education to A Level standard or above.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Calm, patient and adaptable with resilience.
• Understanding that every child is unique.
• Team player with good relationship-building.
• Strong organisation and own responsibilities.
• Experience with pupils with additional learning needs.
• Experience providing 1:1 support to KS1–KS3.
• TA, SEND or teaching qualification.

Aufgaben

• Giving individual support in lessons and throughout the school day.
• Reassuring and encouraging a pupil who has previously experienced school refusal.
• Working with teaching staff to implement support strategies and adaptations.
• Monitoring, recording and reporting on progress, development and attainment.
• Attending meetings with parents and professionals when needed.
• Contributing to safeguarding, wellbeing and the wider support network around the pupil.
• Taking part in training, INSET and school meetings.
