Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student aged 11-16 with additional learning needs at a secondary school in the Huyton area.

This full-time, term-time-only role offers consistent daily pay and a supportive school environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised support, monitor progress, and promote safeguarding and welfare of the student.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people, preferably within a secondary school setting.
• Previous experience in a 1:1 support role or working with pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is highly desirable
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual student needs
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student aged 11-16.
• Assist with learning activities and personal development.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and report concerns promptly.
