Job summary

St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide SEND 1:1 support at Gnosall St Lawrence CE Primary Academy. The role is temporary and term-time, with 27.5 hours per week across 44.85 paid weeks.

The successful candidate should hold a Level 2 TA qualification (or be willing to work towards one) and have experience with SEND, strong communication, patience, and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience of working with children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, nurturing and adaptable.
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
• Support the implementation of personalised learning and intervention programmes.
• Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENDCo and external agencies.
• Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and relevant staff.
• Support the safeguarding and welfare of pupils at all times.
