Rishton Methodist School in Blackburn is seeking a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEND, helping them access learning and build independence. The role is part-time, term-time only, with hours Monday to Wednesday 8:40 am–12:00 pm and Thursday/Friday 8:40 am–12:30 pm.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver targeted interventions. The successful candidate will be patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with staff, parents,

Qualifications

Experience supporting children with SEND.
Patient, empathetic and positive approach.
Ability to remain calm and adaptable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to helping children reach their full potential.

Responsabilités

Provide one-to-one support to a designated pupil with SEND, in and out of the classroom.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver targeted interventions.
Adapt learning materials and ensure EHCP strategies are implemented.
Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
Build relationships with staff, parents and external professionals.
