Job summary

Sele First School in Hexham is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract until August 2027. The role is 30 hours per week during term time, 8.45am–3.15pm, Monday to Friday.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support for a SEND pupil, with duties including behaviour management and assisting with early reading and Maths as required. DBS disclosure is required and safeguarding is a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience and ability to manage challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Understanding of early reading and maths concepts would be supportive.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for a SEND pupil.
• Support across the school as required, including maths and reading.
• Contribute to safeguarding and DBS requirements.
• Adhere to term-time schedule: 8.45am–3.15pm, Monday–Friday.
