Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Trafford is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing SEND school from after October half term. The role is full-time and long-term, providing 1:1 and classroom support to pupils across KS3 and KS4, and assisting with behaviour management and personal care when required.

You should have experience supporting young people with SEND, including ASD/ADHD/PMLD, and bring a patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience working with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD.
• Confidence providing 1:1 and classroom-based support.
• Experience supporting behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies.
• Willingness to support with personal care where required.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and classroom support throughout the school day.
• Assist with behaviour management and personal care as needed.
• Work closely with teaching staff and follow school policies.
