Job summary

Birches First School in Codsall is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide targeted SEND support for children at our welcoming first school. The role involves 1-2-1 and small group support to help pupils develop academically and socially within a caring school community.

You will work with a supportive team, contribute to planning and assessment, and follow recommendations from specialists to improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• L2 TA standard or equivalent qualification/experience is required.
• Ability to adapt learning and planning to individual needs.
• Experience in assessment and recording progress.
• Excellent communication with children, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• 1-2-1 or small group support to SEND pupils.
• Collaborate with team to create inclusive learning environments.
• Assist with social, emotional and academic development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Contribute to planning and monitoring of interventions.
• Follow guidance from educational professionals.
• Provide feedback to teachers and SENDCo.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions.
