Job summary

St Paul’s CE Primary School in the United Kingdom is seeking two 1:1 Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our supportive team. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to enable a pupil with additional needs to access learning, develop independence and participate in school life.

We value calm, patient and resilient individuals with GCSEs in Maths and English and a relevant Level 2 qualification. Previous 1:1 experience with SEND is preferred and safeguarding is a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication with teachers, SENDCo and colleagues.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day under teacher/SENDCo direction.
• Support pupil access to whole-class teaching, small groups and individual tasks.
• Utilise visual supports and strategies to aid learning and independence.
• Support pupil's communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and behaviour.
• Assist with transitions, routines and managing unstructured times.
• Record progress and share information for reviews and planning.
