Job summary

Aspire People Limited are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Reception pupil in a South Birmingham school. The role requires a Level 3 qualification and experience supporting children with SEN, including autism, to help them access the curriculum and achieve their targets.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with the SENCO, leadership team and parents, maintain accurate IEP records, and stay motivated to help the child thrive

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification minimum.
• Long-term (academic term or more) experience of one-to-one support.
• SEN experience covering Autism and lower level ability.
• Able to communicate and build rapport with the children you support.
• Confident in communicating with the SENCO, leadership team and parents.
• Meticulous in completing IEPs and recording progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a Reception child within the classroom.
• Encourage and engage the child to access the curriculum.
• Support behaviour and keep the child on task.
