Job summary

Quantum Scholars are seeking a patient, experienced 1:1 SEND Science tutor to provide personalised Science tuition in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is an in-person role and not online work.

You will support a young learner with SEND, adapting teaching to their needs and building confidence, independence and engagement with education while maintaining safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Science at secondary level.
• Experience working with SEND students.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Patient, calm, flexible and empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one Science tuition tailored to the student’s needs and abilities.
• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons aligned to the Secondary Science curriculum.
• Adapt teaching methods, resources, and pace to suit the learner’s needs.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents/carers and schools.
