School website: burscoughbridgemethodistschool.co.uk Summary Governors at Burscough Bridge Methodist Primary Schoolare looking to appoint a temporary SEND Teaching Assistant who has the passion and enthusiasm to help children with SEND on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will be expected to implement and adapt suggested strategies for an individual pupilwith an EHCP, to enable them to have greater access to the curriculum. It is expected that the successful candidate will initially work within EYFS and will support a child on a 1:1 basis.

The Role

Proposed hours: Monday- Friday 8:45am - 3.00pm (1 hour 15 min lunch)

Term time only fixed term contract, linked to EHCP funding

Essential Qualifications
  • GCSE English (Grade C+) or equivalent.
  • GCSE Maths (Grade C+) or equivalent.
  • TA NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

  • Previousexperience working with SEND children
  • Previousexperience working with young children (EYFS)

  • Previous experience of working with non verbal children
