Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is recruiting a Level 3 SEND Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Bradford primary schools.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs, and collaboration with teachers and SENCOs to deliver inclusive learning activities. The candidate should have DBS updated on the Update Service, relevant SEND experience, and be patient and adaptable to a range of learning needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in primary school or SEND setting.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Experience supporting children with SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or additional communication needs.
• Patient, adaptable and confident supporting pupils with a range of individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support children with EHCPs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
• Adapt to different school settings, routines and individual pupil requirements.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
