Job summary

TeacherActive is working with several primary schools across Bradford, supporting staffing needs for Level 3 SEND Learning Support Assistants. The role offers day-to-day supply, short-term or longer-term placements at £80-£110 per day, with a Level 3 TA qualification required.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, work on EHCPs, and help deliver inclusive lessons. DBS Update Service is required, and experience with autism, ADHD or communication needs is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a primary school or SEND setting.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Experience supporting children with SEND needs, including autism, ADHD or communication needs.
• Patient, adaptable and confident in supporting pupils with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive learning activities.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
• Adapt to different school settings and routines while meeting individual pupil needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
